Domus by Yinka Ilori

Domus’ ‘Magical Word’ installation was designed by British artist and designer Yinka Ilori. Self-proclaimed as colour obsessed the Domus design is a feast for the eyes. Described as an ‘immersive forest’ the colours, textures and patterns show the versatility of the tile collection with tiled trees adding vertical presence. I want allll the tiles.

This Cloud to Cloud installation by Solus Ceramics is captivating. Expansive and elegant the design explores the lifecycle of water and our dependence on it in a multi-sensory experience’ – Solus Ceramics. In collaboration with green hydrogen pioneers Iris Cermaica Group and architects Szczepaniak the installation has an irrigation system above with multiple threads leading water to a glass topped table at the centre. The water is illuminated reflecting the movement of the water on the floor which was a beautiful detail.

Darc award winning studio Curiousa & Curiousa create beautiful free blown glass lighting focusing on traditional British craftmanship. We love the shapes, colours and arrangement of these light fittings and the unique sense of personality they bring. We are already thinking of how we can include them in future projects.

The amazing layered installation was created using Notpla and GF Smith’s seaweed paper – an innovative materials harnessing waste from the industrial processing of seaweed.  Notpla won the earthshot prize in 2022 (among other awards) for their innovative solutions to reducing packaging waste.
